International Trademark Filing

European Union Trademarks and International Trademarks

At the supranational level, we are authorised to file European Union Trademarks with the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO). Specifically, through the European Union Trademark, it is possible to obtain protection in all EU countries with a single registration.

Additionally, we can handle the preparation of documentation and the filing of International Trademarks through the World Intellectual Property Organisation (WIPO). The International Trademark is filed in a single application with the designation of one or more countries that have joined the relevant Convention. It is granted in each individual country based on their national legislation, allowing for protection - for example - in all EU countries, the USA, Japan, Russia, China, etc. (with the possibility of designating additional countries even at a later date compared to the initial filing, through a procedure called "late extension").
